Android Setup Video Tutorials¶
A complete, watch-along walkthrough for setting up a Digisigns player on an Android device — from a brand-new screen to content playing automatically. Follow the videos in order, or jump to the step you need.

1. First-time device setup¶
Power on a new device and complete the initial Android setup, including signing in with a Google account so you can reach the Play Store.
2. Installing the Digisigns app from the Play Store¶
Install the Digisigns Player app directly from the Google Play Store. (For full control over updates and the newest features, you can instead side-load the app from the Digisigns downloads page — see the written guide.)
3. Logging in with screen credentials¶
Open the app and log in with the screen's credentials (for example digi1 and its
password) from your dashboard to connect the player to a screen.
4. Backup login with a registration code¶
If you can't log in with credentials, use the on-screen registration code instead — add the device from the dashboard by entering the code the app displays.
5. Ensuring the app auto-starts¶
Configure the device so the Digisigns app launches automatically on boot — essential for unattended signage that must recover on its own after a power cut.
6. Factory resetting the device¶
Need to start over or repurpose a screen? This shows how to factory reset an Android device before setting it up again.
Note
A factory reset erases everything on the device. Only do this on a screen you intend to
reconfigure from scratch.
